We have children coming to this country who are multiple grade levels behind on all subjects that often times haven’t attended school in years.

These schools could be considered Immersion schools with priorities of admittance for Spanish speaking ESL students.  If parents want to keep their students at their regular zoned schools they would be their choice.  2-3 years to build foundational knowledge while also learning English separately will allow students to actually learn the subjects that they are being taught instead of focusing on trying to interpret everything that the teacher is saying.[/quote]
