To answer your question, PP: He hit her because he is emotionally disturbed and unable to control himself and she was in his vacinity and he thought, based on prior experience with her, that there would be no consequence . As in, if he hit his boss, he'd be fired and arrested. So, he's disturbed and he is a coward

He killed her because he is a PSYCOPATH- not because of anything she said or did.
