You all are hilarious. The new ED who has run one of the strongest clubs in the area and has a ton of professional connections started 12/1. Do you not think she has a plan? Do you think some of these changes are according to the plan? Do you not think she has some upgrades waiting in the wings? The talent pool and GFR community base will entice coaches to come over that did not want to work for RS. Do you not think there will be some kind of pathway in place by spring? Of course she will get that done. It is unlikely to be with NVA just due to geography. Have an egg nog and chill for a week or two. Good things are likely coming for all of us that have been asking for exactly these things for a while.
Hahaah you've had a little too much egg nog. You act like GFR signed Jose Mourinho with his connections. If you think one person can change all the stuff that's happened at GFR for the past 4-5 years, you're blind.
Given that the only thing of any concern that’s happened over the past 4-5 years that’s been credibly alleged is some small bore problems with internal controls — typical growing pains for a small club getting larger— I’m pretty sure one person with a strong management background can fix it pretty easily. Otherwise what’s happened is 4-5 years of good soccer, the beginning of a needed shift at younger ages from trying to win games with long ball to individual & technical development, and a move towards a more possession oriented approach, and shedding a couple disgruntled coaches + directors. All good stuff. Oh, and a little temper tantrum by a new director who had bad judgment & didn’t get his way last spring in a coup attempt. Less good, that.
Have you seen the 2016, 2015 boys play? I didn't see much "individual & technical development" if you count a coach sitting on his butt shouting at the kids as they're getting beat bad on the field
So if the ding is on the GFR coaches, why do people think will be better at a new club if it’s same kids/same coaches just different letters on jerseys?
What is hilarious is they all left/are leaving because of someone that is no longer in charge of a damn thing at GFR lol Cutting off your nose to spite your face or something.
Why are likable coaches being let go? to them be rehired 4 days later?
ED wasn't let go, he resigned and then made a deal to come back.
Wait a second -- hold up! Forgive me for being a little out of the loop and needing to be caught up. Are you saying that ED is back with GFR and will finish out the year instead of leaving mid-season?
yes, the coach with initials ED is back coaching his 3 teams
