This changes everything, if in fact true that the blow to the head came at the time of death. If it were true though wouldn't this be a more of a universal conclusion at this point of which came first- the head blow or the strangulation? And can one even get deep ligature marks on their body if they are already dead? Doesn't blood flow need to be occurring in order to bruised or have ligature marks on your body? Meaning JB had to be alive when she was strangled with the garrote.[/quote]

I'm not saying I am believing Ramsey's lawyer. Lou Smit came to the same conclusion and I thought he was pretty convincing. Bottom line I haven't made up my mind yet. But my question is still the same for anyone who knows-

JonBenet was rendered brain dead by the blow.  I think the pathologist Spitz said that her heart may have still been beating but her brain damage was irreversible at the tine of the blow. Maybe the ligature stopped her heart.
