Handsome sum?  It was two plane tickets worth about $1k.  This “kickback” theory is beyond ridiculous.

Sure.  Work trips.

The first trip, dated 4 October 2022, involves a flight from Atlanta to Miami. Wade paid for a ticket for himself and for Willis. Separately, on the same date and without any names attached, the statement shows Wade’s credit card was used to make two purchases with Royal Caribbean Cruises, for $1,284 and $1,387.

The second trip, dated 25 April 2023, involves a flight from Atlanta to San Francisco. Wade again paid for a ticket for himself and for Willis. Separately, on 14 May 2023, Wade’s credit card was used to make two purchases of $612 and $228 with a Doubletree hotel in Napa Valley, California.

Additionally, the October 2022 trip included a third ticket from Atlanta to Miami which was used by Willis' mother.  So her mother also got a round-trip ticket to Miami to stay in Miami while they went on their cruise(s).

It's always normal to pay for work trips for your co-worker's mother to go along.  I'm sure that Willis' mother had lots to contribute to the Fulton County legal cases.[/quote]

There were three tickets to Miami, but only two tickets for the cruise.  So they were bringing his mother along to Miami and she was staying there while they went on the cruise.[/quote]
