In addition to going in plainclothes and unarmed, they waited until a Monday and showed up at 10 am, basically executing the warrant in the way that was least likely to attract attention or cause a media sideshow that would lead to accusations that this was all a farce designed to target Trump for suspicion for political advantage. Had Trump not announced it publicly, the public may not have known it even happened if it never led to criminal charges. That was a very appropriate way to handle the situation given that this is a former president and it is an extremely politically sensitive matter. [/quote]
