Yes; NCS will compete with Bullis for 7th place in ISL AA next year. They will need a 5 Star or a few 4 Stars and more depth to go higher than that. Despite good coaching and the recruiting pitch, it will be tough to pull off given their small size and academic standards. Local players have 4-6 schools with good+ academics and much better lax programs to choose from.
What is with the rabid NCS booster & excuse maker? Give it a rest! I grew up here and went to one of these schools. There was a time in the late 80s/early 90s where NCS and Sidwell and Madeira were top athletic schools. The landscape has changed a lot. Potomac didn’t even have a high school until I think ‘88, Bullis didn’t have girls until the early ‘80s, etc, but stop making excuses for NCS. It’s no more academic than most of these schools, and it’s definitely not smaller, particularly if you compare the number of girls in the upper grades to those at coed schools. Give the NCS boosting a break! There’s a giant gap between the 2 ISL divisions. I don’t think you realize what NCS will be in for.
