Not really.  Teams that were playing north in Baltimore, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will now play mediocre teams in Loudoun x 5.  McLean and NVA are not close to teams in pa.  This reduces league play and over saturated the market for girls.[/quote]
That’s some mighty fine mental gymnastics. It’s simple math. NOVA is losing 25% of its ECNL players as it goes from 4 to 3 teams. Maybe more if you count a few good ECNLRL players. Where do you think these players will go but GA? You can’t make every thing that happens be bad for GA and be taken seriously. Sun’s out today? Let me explain why this is bad for GA.[/quote]

There used to be 7 "elite" teams in NOVA: 
Arlington
FVU
NVA
VDA
STJ
SYC
Revolution

Now there are 8 (or 9?) "elite teams in NOVA:
Arlington
FVU
Mclean
NVA/Loudoun (1 or 2 GA teams?)
VDA
STJ
SYC
Revolution

Same pool of kids, more teams = lower quality across the board.
More "elite" teams = watered down competition.[/quote]

That'd be correct if all 8 teams attracted players equally.  The top players will be spread across the [b]3[/b] ECNL teams, where they used to be spread across [b]4[/b] ECNL teams, so ECNL teams should be stronger next year.[/quote]
