This is a very entrenched and reinforced belief system from both her own family of origin, her husband's family (to include most of the 18 siblings) and her community. Your/the normal societal reaction to this conviction is not going to be the Duggar reaction (I am too lazy to look up their crazy church). Once all the appeals are done if a couple of years look for the interview where both he and she blame his actions on the devil (or something similar), she reaffirms her commitment to him, and whole lot of talk about Jesus and forgiveness.[/quote]
