Concurrent means he serves both 20 year sentences at the same time and consecutive means they are "stacked." I would find it surprising if he gets two 20 year consecutive sentences, but I don't really have the legal background or federal practice experience to say that. My understanding is that this is his first prosecuted offense. I think the fact that he previously sought counseling and that this is a possession offense versus actual commission of sexual assault will be mitigating factors. He will lose any appeal.[/quote]
