If you are trying to assess the quality of the training and the environment ESPECIALLY at a club like MU that, at best, has soccer development as it's claimed primary focus, how can you not be watching the practices and games to make that assessment?

That is a serious question.  You have a DD in the club and you don't know FIRSTHAND the quality of the training or watch the games to see HOW the team is playing (not the results)?  And then you have an opinion as to how they are developing as players?  Seriously?

It would be more honest for you to say, I have no firsthand idea how much development these girls are getting RELATIVE to the other options out there but my DD likes it so we are staying.  That would be honest.  How a club is run is a factor but at the elite level the quality of the training and the pace and quality of the development is much more important.  [/quote]

DP.  I think what he is saying is that MU as a club hasn't existed long enough for you to have watched anything more than 1 game.  Pre-season games had a lot of missing players and isn't reflective of the team's.  They've only been in season since August, if you count pre-season. Which also had some missing players in some age groups if they were still going to ID camps.

Lol. From the guy that thinks changing the name and one month of training changes everything.  Ok.

Have a good one man. Hope it’s a great season for all your kids in whatever sports they all play. Bit of advice:  always stay truly informed and don’t drink anyone’s kool aid because in 6 months things can change drastically.  Cheerleading for a club equals poor decisions.  Do what’s best for your child but be honest and always be open to frequent reassessment.

Not sure how I was cheerleading or drinking kool aid but okay. Your posts were misleading so I had to call them out. A lot has changed in the club's approach. It remains to be seen how it turns out but I am encouraged for my DD so far. If that's cheerleading then guess I will bear that burden. Bye bye.[/quote]
