anyone have any feedback on the VLC 2025 team and if they might consider newer players this year? Tryouts are this week.
Let's put it this way, in 2022 they won 6 games and lost 15 games, including being 0 and 5 at the NLF national championship and 1 and 4 at Big 4 Champions, so they are a weak team and they could obviously use some better players. Particularly attack because they've always had a problem scoring points. They've had a three coaches in three years and it wouldn't surprise me if they got a new coach after the 2022 season of fail.
Is this same poster's kid still on the team? This has to be the same poster who has had an axe to grind with this team for some time. Either you have a kid on the team which is strange that you would keep him on the team or you don't which may even be more strange that you obsess over the team and track the team record. This team will be entering recruiting season soon and all that matters is that they will play in the NAL/Crabfeast/Big 4/and NLF events that coaches attend. If a kid can play VLC/NL/ML/DCE will get the kid a chance to get recruited. Tracking stats?? Not so much
The answer to your question is B, the poster's son left the team, and the poster has now been obsessing over the team and its record for some time. If the poster's son was killing it on a new team, the poster would have moved on by now. Just saying. But any post about the VLC 2025 team will draw a detailed response from this guy, guaranteed, so get the popcorn.
Let's leave his son out of it. His son didn't ask for this.
It is hard to separate the son's experience on the team from the poster's obsession. People only kick into this gear when their DD or DS had a bad experience. it is not as if the poster chose a random team out of a hat to track its every move and report to DCUM.
It doesn't sound like you know this family. Not to get into specifics, but I know the parent is doing their best with the gifts and limitations that they have, same as the rest of us. Hypothetically, it can be a real lonely challenge for a child when their parent has a different way of processing and seeing the world.
