Maybe it’s naive but I’ve always liked Javi. I think he’s a traditional guy who wanted a simple life — working to provide for a family; Friday night pizza nights; coaching his kids’ soccer; having the family/inlaws over and having his kids growing up with cousins. I think he got in way over his head with Kail and didn’t know what to make of her new BFFs around all the time, partying in Philly, her hanging with guys and that’s when all the control and petty jealousy, cheating/talking to other girls in spite came out. He said on an early Dr Drew special that he couldn’t recall his mother having a single male friend and if for any reason a guy had to be over at their house, his father was there or at least aware of who was coming, why etc. Sounds like traditional family life and that’s what he wanted. Even now he seems so hurt that he wasn’t able to make a family with Lincoln and Isaac and now needs to start dating all over in hopes of a marriage and more kids who’ll only be Lincoln’s half siblings and no relation to Isaac — that now it’s this game of throwing girlfriends/hookups in Kail’s face.
Oh please. Javi was very controlling throughout their entire relationship. That is not a positive trait. Kailyn wasn't blameless in the relationship, she clearly has some serious issues. But let's not pretend he's this perfect specimen of a man. His behavior toward her was borderline abusive. And he blamed her for the miscarriage she had. Briana also stated she broke up with him because he wasn't supportive of her plastic surgery. What is offensive about your 25 yo gf wanting to have her butt fixed that was deformed after pregnancy? It's nice that he wants a family and he does seem to be a good dad. But if his latest gf doesn't enjoy living her life on his terms they won't last long either.
I agree here. Javi may have had reason to be suspicious, but he was very controlling, and he treated Jo like trash. I think he was egged on by Kail, but Javi is an adult and he is responsible for his part. I recall he threw a fit over Jo being at Kail's house when he wasn't there. It may be Kail's house, but it's also Jo's son's house and he should be welcome. He inserted himself into the Jo/Kail parenting relationship and argued with Jo. When things were smooth with Kail, Javi seemed poised to just take over as Isaac's father and push Jo out of his life. It's great that he was ready to take on Isaac as his own, but Isaac already has an extremely loving and involved father. Javi seemed threatened by Jo in that regard (and Jo, amazingly, had no problem with Isaac referring to Javi as Daddy and supported their close relationship, because he was secure enough with his own bond with Isaac and knew Javi couldn't take his place.) Javi is probably a great dad and likes the family life, but he's not a prize catch. Kail has been blasted for dating a variety of people post-divorce, but Javi did the same. Javi is also extremely obnoxious on social media and clearly is seeking to boost his MTV fame. I mean, he's not an awful person, but I don't feel sorry for him.
