They would have ignored the petition in any case.  The SB never takes citizen input seriously.

They know this change is unpopular, which is why it will be passed in the dead of summer at an non-televised event.

When everyone goes back to school and starts to wake up, it will be a done deal.

I'm a FCPS parent too and I don't know ANY parent who is okay with how the board is handling this situation! This is being done wrong and it's turning reasonable people into frustrated angry people ON BOTH SIDES. Violence has been committed against those against the Board business and we all see the yelling from those in the meeting.

Just follow procedure, FCPS Board of Education! Stop sneaking around.[/quote]
