DC schools aren' that good. Little too mo difference between PG and DC. Don't over shoot the academics of DC. I guess MoCo and Fairfax residents come to DC too?[/quote]

There are exceptions but not the rule. No parent is driving from Capitol Heights, Md all the way over to Chevy Chase. Now what you should be talking about is the amount of DC students using addresses to attend a MoCo school. silence, right. [/quote]

Interesting note, just yesterday a colleague asked me if I had any friends or family in MOCO that would allow me to use their address to send my son to the Chinese immersion school. I live in DC.  Colleague also lives in DC, but sends her two kids to school in Rockville. [/quote]

Obviously I am not going to name a family, but at our Title I Hill elementary a LOT of families have told me about their very long commutes (people are quite open about it actually!). I don't think they feel they are doing anything wrong, many/most grew up in the neighborhood and have family there still so they feel entitled to/part of that community and it's services. [/quote]
