Not the PP, but a couple LT parents raised this question at a meeting at the school shortly after the shooting, and the MPD reps at the meeting indicated there is no loitering law in DC, so they can't just "move people along." The police asked for time to do their work, and I got the impression their approach is to use vice squad investigations to gather evidence of illegal drug use/gambling. But others at the meetin or in the neighborhood may have better info![/quote]
