However in medical school admissions HYPSM is a very recognized standard for the top tier schools. And as such Harvard and MIT offer a combined degree program, the most prestigious MD/PhD out there, would they do that if MIT wasn't ranked high enough? Schools like UChicago, WashU, and even UMich also are seen on the equivalent of some ivies when it comes to medicine, all very prestigious and extremely hard to get into. WashU in fact boasts the highest GPA in admissions. And need I mention JHU? The best med school in the country? No ivy? Aww damn all those med students being the future of science made a mistake!
