I am also disappointed that Mrs. Crawley and the Doctor did not get together.  I am not crazy about the teacher for Tom.  I do like Edith's storyline and I love the idea that she may be her aunt's daughter.  Mary's storyline is okay..but I do get her suitors mixed up.

Mostly what this season lacked was a big juicy love story.  I am not so sure about Mrs. Hughes and the head Butler...I can't believe I am forgetting his name.  I am thinking he is not right for her.  [b]I love her and think maybe she deserves the handsome doctor[/b].

Now that is a pairing I hadn't even thought of!  Mrs. Hughes and the doctor!  I do like the idea of Isobel and the doctor, but the Mrs. Hughes angle is intriguing.  However, I don't think those two have ever had any romantic interest in one another.  And it's so obvious how Mrs. Hughes feels about Mr. Carson.  I just wonder if he (Carson) is too uptight to ever return her affections!?[/quote]

I never noticed that Mrs. Hughes was keen on Carson, but maybe so.  I just always think of her as very proper and gentle and kind to everyone including Carson.  Carson is not handsome enough for her!  She is one of my favorites.  I also like Isobel.  Why oh why didn't Julian Fellowes at least let Isobel and the DR get together this season so we could have a little romance.  I don't think there was one kiss the whole season![/quote]
