I did not drink at all when I was pregnant, but keeping trying to find reasons to blame the moms if it makes you feel better. My kids with ADHD are well behaved. They are not self-centered. They are not brats. There are so many kids and adults with ADHD throughout both sides of our family that there is no doubt in my mind that this is genetic. I suppose its my fault for reproducing or something.
Look, you know you and your kids. We don't. No one here even knows you. Stop defending yourself. On the flip side, was at Starbucks this evening. Parent was there with two kids about 6 and 8. She was telling someone the laundry list of diagnosed disorders the younger one has. She was not tending to them. They were supposed to be watching her laptop with cartons on it. But, alas, they ran around the place like crazies. That was at 8:30, -on a school night. Are we to believe there's no correlation with enviornment? And yes, every family is indeed different.
Parent training and support should be required prerequisites before putting these young children on potentially dangerous drugs.
