Where you grew up you may not have been in a truly walkable neighborhood, by that I mean corner grocery store, pharmacy and maybe a butcher shop or liquor store all within a four-block radius: that is walkable any time, in any shoe, at any body temperature.  The neighbors stop and chat while you're out walking the dog.  And THAT, my friends, is why homes in walkable neighborhoods fly off the market.[/quote]
