I have no idea what Bible you are reading, no.idea.at.all! You say all this, but I bet you do not tithe >>>>>>>>>>> Really? You have no idea in what Bible Jesus says, for example, to paraphrase, that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into heaven? How about this: If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? (NIV, 1 John 3:17) Or these? Luke 16:19-31, Proverbs 15:16-17, Ecclesiastes 5:10-12, Luke 1:52-53, 6:20, 6:24-25. As for tithing, I AM NOT CHRISTIAN. I don't claim to be. And yet my actual behavior as regards charity seems to be more Christian that that of Christians. I give to a religious institution every month.... but it sure as hell ain't Christian.
Right. You are not Christian so you have no Christian context with which to put these statements in. Christianity isn't just some big charitable organization, it's a religion based on faith and God. And yes, it is very difficult for a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven. Not impossible. And yes, love of material things and money is the "root of all evil." This does not, however encompass all of Christianity's teachings. And sorry you don't like the "we're all sinners" thing, but that is the ESSENCE of Christianity. Do you also harass gays who are Christian because they aren't following the NT's teachings? What about divorced people? Or those who have sex outside marriage? Are they annoying, ironic hypocrites too? I mean, Jesus goes on and on and on about adultery and sexual purity. Well, do you? I didn't think so. Neither do I, since, yeah, as annoying as it is to you, we're all sinners. So I don't judge.
