We make ~325k per year.  We honestly have more money than we know what to do with, and it's not like we're living in a crappy house or being super frugal.  I just can't wrap my head around making 50k more and feeling strapped. [/quote]

another one here. Our income from our jobs is about 325K but we also earn money from our money. After maxing out two 401Ks and everything else, we still have between 5 and 10K a month more to invest. We live in NoVa. Have one old and one new car. Have a child in expensive preschool. We are about to hire a nanny for #2 and yet we will STILL have money to save at the end of each day.  We have take 1 international trip this year (paid cash from monthly income) and another domestic trip this last weekend, same.  we don't dine out a lot b/c I"m lazy with child (expecting).

Now, our mortgage is about 2k. We paid off the part above 417 quickly. We paid of school loan debt and only have the mortgage and new car payment. We kept the car payment b/c the interest rate is 3%..hard to beat.

We don't shop for entertainment either. Maybe that help.s
