No, the point is that you could substitute Jews with any other religion, or cult if you will, and this is probably why antiquated religions continue in the modern day. It’s clearly beneficial for many to belong to an exclusive group and label, it’s more beneficial than detrimental for them. The conformity and groupthink is worth it for them. This is true for many religions or cults. [/quote]
