Whether you like it or not, this is the reality we're in right now. The level of anxiety around student safety is through the roof. Combine this with unhinged wackos who think it's their right to storm a capitol or carry an AR-15 into the store or go after a supposed child sex ring in the basement of a pizza place in NWDC. There is no choice but to close schools.

Yes, this was not an issue 15 years ago. We had elections in the gym or the library during the school day. It wasn't an issue. Today is very different. No one wants to do this.
