Actually the fine folks of Minnesota voted overwhelmingly in favor or expanded Voluntary Pre Kindergarten. A program available to 4 year olds who meet eligibility criteria, FARMS, English language learners and Foster Kids. They knew who would benefit and they supported it overwhelmingly.

Sounds like this poor baby just turned 5. Bless him.

I digress, anywho, most non morons understand the value in early education, and that it should be available to all, including those who lack the ability to pay and that all society benefits when young children, and especially so for the most vulnerable, get a good headstart.

It’s one year and in pays dividends in the long run as less services are needed later in if kids show up ready with basic Kindergarten skills (mastery of and instruction in English of the ABCs, colors, and numbers etc.,).

These are children we are talking about and possible future citizens. We want them to be literate.
