[/quote] My kid at a school in 30-40 range had close relationships with professors, including one who became his honors thesis advisor and helped him pick his grad program. That prof also introduced him to other faculty in the same field from other schools who pulled him into research and practical work. Also, profs pro-actively pushed him to do research in their labs and to publish essays. That’s what we were hoping for from the LAC experience, and we were really happy DS got it. A pointy elbowed go getter who knows exactly what they want wouldn’t need that, but it was a big help to my (too) laid back DS. [/quote]
