When do we get to criticize these backwards Islam countries. The breadth and depth historically, present day, lack of freedoms. Slavery entire countries dedicated to the slave trade. America had slavery, like a few rich whites owned some slaves. Christian abolitionists stopped the practice. They went to war to stop slavery. In the whole history of slavery when did an Islamist ever lift a finger to stop slavery? Modern day, there they killing people to build Qatar's world cup. When did they give up slavery in these countries 1960's or later. Probably even DeFacto today. Anyone that is Islam that is commenting on American lack of freedom needs to have a mirror shattered in front of their face. I get Islam preaches certain ethics, but when have they have actually implemented them. Point to a culture where they did anything but behave like spineless peons. Islam is a very populous culture surely somewhere they treat workers with respect and dignity. Why would you come to this country for "religious freedom" then continue to practice Islam? I don't get it. My relatives from China were quick to adopt Christianity. It was like a bonus, Oh and they can go to church. I don't even go to church, that is what they wanted.
If you would like to start a thread criticizing Islam, you are free to do so. In the meantime, it would be nice if you stayed on topic, which if you need a refresher, is MAGAs implementing Christian nationalism in the United States.
You have to mind the context, this weblog run by someone who appears to be an Islamist, so I think it is fair to ask before starting such a thread.
As the OP, kindly asking they you start a different thread as you are not staying on topic here.
It seems that you are asking me to tolerate religious freedoms, I am continuing to explain why I do not want to be tolerant. Try to stay on topic.
That's not the topic of this thread! Since you very transparently and desperately want to redirect any conversation to bash Islam, go start a new thread doing just that.
I made very good case for not being tolerant of certain relgious freedoms.
No, you actually didn't, but it's really cute that you think you did -- kind of like a kindergartener being very proud that their very good scribbles are hung on the refrigerator. In any event, it's completely irrelevant to MAGAs establishing Christian nationalism in the United States.
Well if the alternative, is to being employed by Islamists (or other religions) who try to impose their beliefs on me in the name of religious "freedom", then yeah have at it.
Let's try this again. I'm not particularly Christian I don't go to church, but the Christians in this Nation see to it that I get a weekend, Sunday and now Saturday, as well as Christmas off as PTO (Christmas isn't even really a Christian holiday). People I have worked for from other countries, don't want to give me these days off, and they don't replace them with other days or benefits. So yeah, religious freedom is a bad deal for me. Maybe in other sectors where you don't have a fairly regular work week, it might not be as important, but for me it's a bad deal.
Religious freedom is good for me because nonChristians are willing to work my Sunday and holiday shifts. Christmas is still a federal holiday in America. Regular work week is still M-F unless there is work to be done, and that does not have to do with religion. Not sure your beef, it does not actually make any logical sense. Diversity of religions ENSURES you don't have to work Christian holidays for work that requires weekend and holidays because nonchristians will gladly take those shifts. You literally do not make sense.
I have worked for Muslims and Jews, and they did not believe in this, only gave the minimum obligatory days off even then called me at home. Christmas and Sunday made them upset, they were remiss to give me those days off, and they definitely didn't say have a merry PTO day here leave early on Christmas eve.
Then go work for someone else. I wouldn't ever work for a Christian national misogynist. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps solve your own problems rather than whining here repeatedly because we have a first amendment.
