Yeah, I used to have a med card from "my doctor" too. You're playing yourself. No responsible clinician is telling patients to get high to get sleep, for the same reason no responsible clinician would tell you to just pop a benzo or drink a few glasses of wine to get sleep. That's irresponsible af.

That some NP with a few CEUs in cannabis "education" did your 5-minute zoom interview and stamped your paperwork doesn't mean you have reputable medicine on your side of this non-argument. Long-term cannabis use is dangerous, short-term cannabis use can be dangerous (especially depending on what you use), and you probably won't realize you have a problem until you have a "damn, I can't quit"-level problem.

I don’t need a medical marijuana card—it’s fully legal here and I walked into a store and selected what I wanted. I don’t think taking half a gummy once a week is going to drive me to reefer madness, but thanks for your concern. And get your smelling salts—my doc (an MD not an NP) also gave me a prescription for Xanax. He knows I use them sparingly so isn’t concerned.
