I mean, first of all, 55 vs 70 is hardly "younger." Both are senior citizens, it's not like he's dating a 25 year old. At 55, very likely she has assets of her own and is looking for an interesting companion. Since your dad managed to attract two spouses, he has to have something going for him. [/quote]

Are you kidding? There is a massive difference between a 55 year old woman and a 70 year old man. On average he is about 6-8 years away from death--many of these years he may have very restricted quality of life. A 55 year old woman is on average about 25 years away from death. There's no comparison. [/quote]

As a man I agree..I think as far relationships post 50 it makes more sense for women because they live longer and also have less devastating health issues compared to men. If you are a man 50 and older and divorced, you can find other ways to spend the rest of your life without feeling lonely.  Of course there are exceptions but for the average man that age forget relationship.[/quote]
