I disagree. I have a dog and honestly, I feel the same way. My mornings are consumed with my dog. I come home, I am consumed with my dog. There is not break that I get. It has nothing to do with a crate... Here is the thing, a human toddler is a toddler for about 2 years but a dog is a toddler for literally 15 years. [b]Constantly needing to be watched[/b], having to have their needs met, etc. [b]It never grows up and becomes a capable creature[/b]. I realized now that pets are useless creatures. They do nothing but be needy. I honestly recommend giving up the dog for others. There are too many dogs in this world as it is, get rid of them. [/quote]

What are you expecting your dog to do, your taxes? Being "consumed with" your dog and claiming you get no breaks means that, at a minimum, you didn't bother to crate train your dog. I can crate my dog for 4 hours and get a break anytime I need or want to. You don't constantly need to be watching it if you've provided a safe space it can be without your immediate supervision (i.e. a crate).
