I spent time travelling this summer around the good old US of A. And man, was it depressing. Everyone in their own world, jobless or working too many jobs because one job doesn’t pay great. People cutting way back. A general apathy and hopelessness for the future. People now talking about AI taking jobs which is interesting because the blame used to be immigrants. The feeling that God has failed them and that we are still heading in the wrong direction. It will never be the same I guess. The reality of everything is in front of us. The blinders are off. And when I spoke with people it seemed that most people were just giving up. Anyone else traveling around and seeing or hearing any of this?
Yeah, things were much better under Biden with massive inflation - people feeling like they can’t afford a house or health care or food. And don’t forget the open border with 11 million people pouring in illegally to join our welfare rolls. Given the two choices we had in the November election, it’s great Trump win, otherwise we would have four more years of Biden’s awful policies.
All you MAGA morons have is lies. That is why you are such miserable jerks. Your poison is destroying our country. No matter what you say, no matter what lies you spin, we wouid be far better off right now with Harris. Absolutely positively. Trump is destroying all that was actually decent about this country.
Biden expanded immigration thru out his entire term. Biden, and Harris the Border Czar, created the disaster that lost the election to an idiot like Trump. In his first 100 days in office, Biden signed more than 60 executive actions, 24 of which are direct reversals of Trump’s policies. Biden has defended the number as necessary to undo what he considers “bad policy” inherited from Trump, especially on immigration. To date, 10 of his 12 actions on immigration are reversals of Trump’s policies. “And I want to make it clear — there’s a lot of talk, with good reason, about the number of executive orders that I have signed — I’m not making new law; I’m eliminating bad policy,” Biden said as he signed a series of actions on immigration from the Oval Office on February 2. “What I’m doing is taking on the issues that — 99% of them — that the president, the last president of the United States, issued executive orders I felt were very counterproductive to our security, counterproductive to who we are as a country, particularly in the area of immigration.” https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2021/politics/biden-executive-orders/ papa Biden 1 - https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/06/06/biden-immigration-asylum-policy-migrant-family/ papa Biden 2 - https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/interactive/2024/immigration-journey-venezuela-trump-harris-election/
Biden purposefully opened the border and did nothing for more than 3.5 years as more than 11 million people walked into the country illegally. That was a complete dereliction of duty on his part. He may have felt that Trump’s policies at the border were “bad policy.” However, the majority of voters disagreed. We thought Biden had bad policy that was counterproductive to our national security and basic sovereignty.
Trump beat Harris by 1 and a half percent and 90 million people didn’t vote. Most people voted for something other than trump.
+1 Trump won the election but it was far from the landslide victory it should have been considering the unprecedentedly weak position the incumbent party was in due to the last minute nominee change. It's fair to say a majority of Americans weren't happy with Biden's handling of the border but it's also fair to say a majority of Americans weren't willing to support to Trump regardless of how turned off they were by anything Biden did or didn't do. This makes Trump the weakest nominee in our history to go on to win a POTUS election as he clearly wouldn't have won without the Dem campaign debacle. Sad times.
