The post helped me to have perspective about Penny's weirdly antagonist approach the minute she arrived at Holton, with an inner circle of almost entirely new staff that were the only people she consulted when making decisions. She did not make use of the transition teams and resources available to her as a new leader at the school. It's not surprising that Holton faculty and staff have reacted poorly to her general disregard and disrespect for them. Pair that with the embarrassing obsequious behavior in front of board members and unethical interference when moneyed families are concerned, and you've got a community that has little trust or respect for their leader.[/quote]
