Obama was the most popular and successful two term president in recent history. He’d win in a heart beat if he was running today. Democrats making everything about race to explain why Harris lost are barking up the wrong tree.

Even among Republicans, the last candidate standing in their primary was Nikki Haley - a brown woman.

This is all Democrats obsess over.  We see it in thread after thread here on DCUM - "who should run in 2028?" And then post after post about what combination of race and gender would make a winning team.  Absolutely idiotic.[/quote]

It’s not idiotic. Its strategy.  Republicans only have to appeal to a narrow group of people who have a lot in common (but mostly race).  The democrats have a bigger tent and more of every kind of diversity in their party. They have to appeal to a wide variety of people with different cultures and races. [/quote]

What appeals to the normal masses of people are candidates with presidential leadership skills. Only idiots put race or gender above presidential talent. You may be an idiot but most Dems aren't.[/quote]

I appreciated her and if she didn't have the association with the extraordinarily unpopular elderly "white man", her career wouldn't have ended so abruptly. I'm sorry if this being the "white man's" fault hurts your feelings but your misguided feelings don't change the truth.[/quote]
