The research budget funded by federal dollars is a very, very small part of our national budget.  You're biting off your nose to spite your face.  Scientific research is a strength and an economic engine for this country. It's not a weakness And the country gets back more than it puts in. As someone said above, you don’t even know what you are supporting. You are just following orders. And the fact that your primary joy in life is making other people unhappy is truly sick and scary. This constant us vs them is not ok. And please don’t say we did it first because that is a lie. Despite being treated like crap Biden went out of his way to fund projects in deep red areas.
