Agreed. Why can’t California follow the example of the following red states that allow children as young as 12 (or younger with parental consent) to work on farms with few restrictions?

You’re missing the point.  ICE was conducting immigration enforcement, not criminal enforcement.  They happened to direct their immigration enforcement at an operation that was flagrantly violating federal drug laws, which seems like a wholly reasonable exercise of prosecutorial discretion. Look, I don't even believe any of what ICE claims about what they found there, whether they were underaged or whether they weren't, whether they were in fact undocumented or not.  SO MUCH of what is coming out of this administration has been dishonest and outright lies.  I'm going to have to see something more substantive than just believing whatever ICE claims.
