I’m a non-MAGA Republican and have conservative values and support reasonable immigration control efforts, BUT I would not shed a tear if Trump and the rest of his clowns spent the rest of their natural lives in jail….
The Republican Party no longer exists. I'm an ex-Republican and I support reasonable immigration control, I care about the environment, I believe in fiscal responsibility, I want reasonable gun control and I think we need to completely overhaul our healthcare system. There is no party that represents me. I think that there are many in the true middle like me. It's time for a third party.
NP. PP I agree but there will never be a 3rd party in the US. Politically, it doesn't work. Our system isn't set up to be more than room for 2 parties. Money from backers is key to how our campaigns are run and it limits choices. The powers that be won't allow that much choice. I'd love to see healthcare get overhauled but again, the money in the US again will not allow it. You'd have to fight pharma, hospital admin and insurance that's 3 huge industries - no way all 3 industries allow effective changes to system parameters offering non profit healthcare which essentially is what we all hope to see. Our for profit setup is the big problem with our mess today and that is key to how it will be run. So this is why logically, I think the US is on a slope heading down. Historically, every society after 250 yrs or so does reinventing and changing at a pretty extreme level or else it's done. That's where we are heading into next 20 yrs. The question is how we will be able to change unless we level our systems pretty drastically and how long it will take to both want to do that and for that process to complete.
