If he knew, one of them would have said or alluded to it during one of their conversations together during the new years trip. When Ginny was complaining about the champagne just a few hours before Nick died, she would have specifically said “you know I can’t drink right now” and not just talked about her friends not drinking. She would have made the connection to her own situation (if he knew about it) and how hurtful his ignoring that condition was for her. But she didn’t say a single thing. So I really don’t think he knew. [/quote]

There *were* subtle allusions to it. They didn’t need to hit you over the head with it, that’s bad writing. They were at a healthy news years event instead of spending NYE with friends drinking scotch etc. Why? Because she was pregnant and they both knew it. She also later said ‘we were building a life together’. That certainly doesn’t imply a whoopsie pregnancy he didn’t know about. And I never heard him call her ‘baby’ as a pet name during any episode, did you? He called her Ginny. So why did he smile when he saw the hat that said ‘happy NY, BABY’? Because he knew, that’s why [/quote]
