Don’t worry — the rockstar union is solving the problem. Trust the plan. (Haven’t heard a THING from the union in awhile, so I guess they’re working hard.).
You must not be a member. I’ve heard plenty.
+1. Funny because the union literally e-mailed us yesterday! Love how these non dues paying people like to complain. In the unlikely event PP is a dues paying member they should e-mail Greg their home e-mail address and also make sure their e-mail address is current in the NTEU system as there are two sets of e-mails that get sent out.
Did you give any update on the grievance, timing, etc? And before you complain about me being a freeloader, I’m NBU, so have no choice in the matter.
Actually you do have a choice. Membership is voluntary. Just because you are BU doesn’t mean you are a member. Maybe that’s where the disconnect is for you.
They said they were NBU. But, if you are NBU that means your job is, at least in part, to further the positions of management vs. the BU. Considering, the tone of your posts makes a lot more sense.
That’s ridiculous to make that distinction. Almost everyone in the agency’s job is to further the positions of management. Are ENF folks taking the same positions on crypto they were six months ago? And are you saying someone in HR, for example, should be scorned because they are implementing new management positions on RTO, for example?
Chill out for Pete’s sake. No one is saying anyone should be “scorned.” What is with your scorched earth responses? If you are designated as NBU, you could come into a situation where you are advocating for the position of management or assisting in advocating for the position of management (or know about the position of management) and not for the BU, aka the Union. That is why you are not allowed to be part of the BU and represented by the Union, to avoid a conflict of interest. If you don’t know specifically why you are NBU but want to be BU, ask your manager as they should be able to explain it to you. If they don’t know, ask to be reclassified.
