So listen. I’m actually with you on the trans stuff. This should never have become a hill to die on. It was all blown out of proportion by both sides in relation to the percentage of trans people in society. These people deserve to live their lives peacefully and without persecution. That being said, you can’t have it all and they should stay out of sports. Sometimes you don’t get everything you want. That is life. However it’s disingenuous to say that Trump and the GOP are interested in protecting women’s rights. They aren’t. Trump is a sex offender. He has no respect for women. He has gone out of his way to strip the rights of women. He’s a convicted felon. He staged an attempted coup of the United States. He issued mass pardons for convicted felons. This man is not interested in helping anyone but himself.
This #bothsidesing is false. In the 2024 political season ONLY ONE SIDE was repeatedly bringing up trans issues, over and over and over, ad nauseam. It was Republicans. I did not hear one single Democrat in 2024 actively talking about trans issues. That's not gaslighting or denial, it's reality.
Sure, because the Democrats had just implemented wildly unpopular policies which rollled back title 9, put men in women’s prisons, and allowed men and boys in women’s sports and locker rooms. Of course they were not trying to highlight these issues which are unpopular with 75% of the electorate. But they did implement these policies and pretending otherwise by ‘not talking about it’ is not a virtue or free pass to escape the consequences of unpopular decisions.
