Our private has 650 students. $19,750 x 650 = $12,837,500, that’s the taxes that private school parents pay for services not used. The average corporate tax rate in the US is 21%. So assuming $55,000 tuition X 650 students = $35.75M in revenue for the school taxed at 21% = $7.5M in ‘owed’ taxes. The taxes owed or ‘exemption’ is still significantly less what are paid by the parents. [/quote] Oh, these tax calculations are based on revenue and not profit so they are extremely conservative.
