Many people don’t like a lot of people.

But I found it surprising that when I worked as a host in a restaurant decades ago, two of the black waitstaff specifically instructed me not to seat black patrons in their seating area because “they don’t tip.” I recoiled at this stereotype and even challenged the first guy on this like “oh come on…” and he clarified that its not that he felt they won’t tip at all, but he said they would tip a white waiter but not a black one. Made no sense to me. 
At first I chalked it up to this one guy being weird and delusional. But when a black waitress who was just hired told me the same thing, I wondered if that was really a thing.[/quote]
