No, she was with a group of 6 female friends. She went to swim in the ocean and was caught by a big wave. Read the news before speculating.

I would be FURIOUS at my daughter for this sort of behavior, and this is exactly why parents should discourage these types of trips from college students with notoriously bad judgement. Yes I know you can't technically "stop" 18 year olds, but if you are still financially supporting them, you have plenty of influence. [/quote]
