I think the Lincoln Project people claim to be traditional conservatives. But they vote for democrats, so functionally they ARE democrats and have no influence on the party. Their funding, audience, and message all support democratic initiatives. Republicans are not their target audience. They are basically grifters.
The Lincoln Party folks are the very traditional conservatives who are the subject of this thread. No, they do not support democratic causes. They do support AMERICAN causes. It just shows how far off the rails MAGA is.
The Lincoln Party literally campaigns for democrats. You can pretend this is something different. But its just a campaign gimmick.
Again, that a bunch of traditional republicans are campaigning for democrats shows how far off the cliff MAGA has taken the GOP. This isn't the "win" you think it is.
Okay? This just means that their message is appealing to you. The fact remains that their message is targeted at you and not at MAGA. You like LP and you like the "MAGA is off the rails!" narrative. Can you see why that wouldn't be appealing to Republicans?
This thread is about "traditional conservatives" - Lincoln Party are, in fact, traditional conservatives. No one but Trump is trying to appeal to MAGAs....the are off the charts the worst of our country.
Lincoln Party is a group that saw an opportunity to get generational wealth off of campaigning against Trump. They ran ads on Fox News and hit gold when Trump tweeted about them.
They were Republican consultants who didnt identify with republican politics anymore. That happened to a lot of people around the Tea Party time. The honest ones just started doing commercial work. The LP ones just transitioned to the other side of the aisle in a way that benefitted all parties involved.
