False - low income people barely pay any income taxes.  They pay payroll taxes (and get back lots more than they put in) and sales tax.[/quote]

No rich people pay about 9-10% of their income. Poor and middle class pay 25-48% when all taxes are included

This is so completely wrong that it's kind of hilarious. The poor pay on average nothing because of the earned income tax credit. The rich pay about 30 percent. Everyone else is somewhere in between, depending on how much they make. The more they make, the more they pay. [/quote]
