The idea is to incorporate futsal skills for younger players to help develop ball control skills and after about 13 its not considered as helpful. But, futsal is picking up in popularity and the demand from older kids to play is increasing. We do have a US Futsal national team and there are professional futsal clubs. I think you will start to see kids pick sides about this time, more futsal or more outdoor. No sure its a big deal, but some clubs and coaches will still push both. And or they will still push everything soccer related for that matter. You just got to know where your kid is at and figure out what's best for them and draw the line. My kids knees and heals were hurting too much, were dropped futsal this year against the recommendation of our club coach. [/quote]
