No one mocks people for having trouble affording groceries. Democrats are mocking the fact that people who can’t afford groceries voted for a charlatan who not only has no plan for reducing the price of groceries, but who lacks a basic understanding of most issues and doesn’t care about poor people, and who heads the political party that tells people to lift themselves up by their own bootstraps and gives tax cuts to the rich, pretending that wealth will trickle down. They literally voted for the government least likely to help them.[/quote]

You are splitting hairs. The Democrats are absolutely mocking people who can’t afford food. They are also insulting them, wishing them harm, and generally being objectively awful people to people who are far poorer than them.

The democrats are the ones who ran a candidate who offered solutions for increasing costs at the grocery store. The problem is, people voted for someone who didn't even offer a concept of a plan on that front. THAT is why they are being mocked. We are ALL impacted by high grocery prices.[/quote]

This, exactly.  They continue to keep their heads planted firmly in the sand, so as not to face reality.  I think on some level, they've got to know how badly they screwed up, championing issues that were hugely unpopular with the vast majority of Americans.  Maybe one day they'll reflect on that, but clearly that day has not arrived.[/quote]
