Voting for the candidate endorsed by the fascist women's auxiliary is not an attractive idea.
Voting for the candidate endorsed by the group that wanted to keep schools closed indefinitely is not an attractive idea.
A vote for Diaz is a vote for hate and children dying ie polio and small pox and stupidity
Given that both smallpox and polio have been eradicated in the US, I'm much more concerned about Zimmerman closing schools.
You are an idiot Diaz is RFK JR anti vax it will come back k with a vengeance. Learn science Not to mention Diaz is an ignorant subhuman racist Stop with the Covid nonsense we had a novel virus everyone did their best, no one overtly tried to stop children from getting an education but Diaz who literally did not show up for the students in her classes. Why are you not angry that she was paid to stay home and not show up? Why are you not angry she did not teach during Covid ?? She stayed home!!!
Not, not everyone did their best. Lots of people did. Doctors and nurses went into hospitals, clinics, and offices and did their best. Police officers and fire fighters continued doing their best. Manufacturing workers did their best. The many teachers in school districts around the world that reopened in the fall 2020 did their best. And many MCPS teachers tried to do their best, but MCEA continued to fight reopening effort long after the other two unions agreed to return.
The only person who didn't do their best was you as your needs seemed to TRUMP others. There was NO safe way to reopen and many that did reopen were not large schools, or other factors. They were right to do what they did and even when they reopened many choose to stay virtual. Diaz refused to return in person. She refused to do something as simple as masking. She told the kids not to mask or vaccinate. She was put on paid leave, doing nothing for a while while she fought it. Her students were not getting taught. She then told everyone to homeschool, which she did for her youngest. She is incompetent as a teacher and hasn't done anything to earn a seat.
This is a ridiculous argument to make when we saw big and small schools reopen without significant problems. There was no reason MCPS couldn't have reopened had it not been for a small number of MCEA leaders threatening illegal strikes. The fact that you continue to deny it is even more reason to worry that MCEA would try it again. Zimmerman shouldn't be on the board, nor should the other MCEA selected candidates.
You are really self absorbed to not realize why MCPS could not reopen.
The thousands of schools that reopened in the fall of 2020 demonstrated quite clearly that MCPS could have. MCPS's own experiences keeping schools open through Delta also demonstrated that they could have opened sooner.
