Imho, nobody on either side or somewhere in the middle has done a stellar job of pointing out what is obvious to me:

-Both sides have blood on their hands, so it’s easy for either side to cherry pick incidents and atrocities.

-Having said that, it’s obvious that there will be conflict when you have a Jewish state surrounded by arab/muslim countries—some of which are home to religious extremist terror groups (and some of which are actually led by such groups) dedicated to destroying Israel (not to mention America and the West).

Nonetheless, Maher isn’t wrong and he really wasn’t relying on opinions. At least he tried to address the lazy Zionist/colonizer line that seemingly prompted a groundswell of support by TikTok users who don’t realize that religious extremists are anti-everyone outside of their strict religious sect.
