Trump is the one who negotiated with the Taliban, ignored the existing Afghan government, made promises to the terrorists and announced a deadline for withdrawal 4 months into his successors term, but neglected to make any plans for said withdrawal.  So, he left them holding the bag.  Biden and Harris were not involved in the lack of planning for the withdrawal until after the elections in November, so they had 2 months to plan a response when they did not have full access to resources required to plan such a response before they were thrown in the mix.

If Trump had bothered to start planning when he made the agreements, the withdrawal would have been more successful.  How would you like to start a new job and have a major deadline four months after you started and to find out that your predecessor made promises of what you would deliver, but did not do any work or planning before you started, saying that it was your problem and responsibilty to deliver what he promised?[/quote]
