How does the change in eating habits impact family meals for you all? Do you have children that see you eating tiny portions of food that may start to believe this is a normal way of eating?
My eating habits have changed for the better; dinner portions aren’t tiny, but I generally have no interest in and skip the carbs like bread, potatoes, or rice. No dessert afterwards, no snacking. I’m setting a better example now than pre medication.
Why can’t you do this without medication?
Lack of discipline depressed and sad
These drugs are not popular anywhere else besides America so what gives
The interesting thing is there are several (proven) weight loss drugs that have been around for decades that nobody really talks about or seems interested in. Phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia), these have been around for 30+ years. But they do require some effort on the part of the person taking them, which is of no interest to anyone.
I've been on both phentermine and Topamax. Phentermine made me too jittery to concentrate at work and Topamax gave me such bad brain fog that I was literally losing my keys all day (doctors call it "dope-a-max" for a reason). I am great at putting in "some effort." In fact, I'm pretty good at having a healthy diet (I have severe medication related weight gain). The drugs you mention are not tolerated well by everyone, and I would bet that a large percentage of those on Wegovy have already tried them at some point -- so your need to drop them here in this condescending way in an attempt to educate people is quite unnecessary.
